Welcome

A very warm welcome to The Ridgeway Church of England Primary School. We are a small, happy, inclusive primary school set in a beautiful location on the Ridgeway.

We are proud of our reputation as a friendly supportive school that is based upon a family ethos, where all our staff know our children well. In our last Ofsted report our school was described as a ‘joyful place’ and we are rightly proud of this. We have strong links with our parents and the wider community and work closely with both.

We have high expectations of our children and work hard to ensure that we support and challenge the whole child. We place a strong emphasis on developing children who are independent learners, who have initiative and who are excited about their learning. 

However, our vision of ‘Building for Life’ also recognises the importance of developing not only children who have a love for learning but who are active members of their community. We actively want our children to develop into global citizens who look beyond the school gate and who are passionate, active members of their community.
